Lt. Dan Choi was arrested multiple times while protesting the now repealed "Don't Ask Don't Tell" law. The last time, he was given the option to plea to a lesser change and not serve any jail time, but he chose instead to fight the federal charges and to turn his prosecution into a political soapbox to painting the Obama administration as the primary opposition, despite facts to the contrary. When DADT was repealed, thanks largely to Obama, Choi announced "I'm not going to party" and instead used the chance to attack the administration.
Take away his soapbox, use the announcement to offer him specific targets and legitimate means for the political change he claims to want, and challenge him and his supporters to demonstrate good faith.
