Lynne Stewart was the attorney for Omar Abdel-Rahman during his trial for the 1993 bombing of the WTC. She convicted and jailed posted 9/11 during the country's paranoia about future threats. She claims she did not accurately understand the implications of her actions given changes to the law, post 9/11, and acted in the same manner as she had previously with other clients.
Lynne has Stage 4 cancer and is seeking compassionate release.
