Ms. Alexander was tried, convicted, and sentenced to 20 years in prison for firing warning shots to protect herself against her abusive spouse. Ms. Alexander was not afforded the right to Florida's "Stand Your Ground Laws", despite the fact that she was protecting herself and did not harm or kill anyone.
20 years is a travesty.
We ask that you pardon Ms. Alexander, using your constitutionally afforded right, since Florida's justice system is systemically without justice.
