This is a petition to pardon Marissa Alexander of Florida. She was convicted and sentenced to 20 years for intentionally firing a gun in to a wall as a threat to her abusive husband. This was an outrageous miscarriage of justice and now, after Ms. Alexander has won a re-trial appeal, the prosecutor is threatening her with a 60-year sentence if she loses again. Our country is, or should be, better than this and it's up to all citizens, including the president, to do whatever they can to fix it.
