We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Pardon nonviolent drug offenders that have received harsh sentences for petty drug cases.

Created by K.B. on June 17, 2016

Black and Hispanic prisoners receive harsher sentences for Crack related crimes than those who sell other popular drugs. It's time for these injustices to be corrected. Minority incarceration has had a drastic effect on today’s youth. The lack of father figures has caused a decrease in leadership and direction. When the prison system became privatized many poor young men and women became valuable commodities for the prison systems owners.
I am aware that President Obama has freed over 300 felons with outrageous sentence. There are thousands of men that have been taken into courtesy with sentences of 20 years to life for small drug crimes. If a wealthy young white man can receive 6 months for rapping a young women then a nonviolent drug dealer should be privy to the same sentencing.
