Marissa Alexander, who had no previous criminal history, was sentenced to 20 years in jail in Florida. All she did was fire a gun into the ceiling of her home as a warning shot to stop from being beaten again by her husband, who has a history of domestic abuse.
Marissa, who is a mother of 3, did not actually shoot or harm anyone, and yet will be sentenced to 2 decades of jail. That is not fair, its not just, and its not justice.
