PFC Bradley Manning has been detained for over one thousand days before going to trial. and what was his crime? Manning leaked classified documents to WikiLeaks. However, this has been seen as treason. Manning is a hero for revealing this information, as it exposes the US army's violations of international law. (see collateral murder) In so doing, Manning caused the Iraqi government to strip the Armys immunity, forcing the withdrawal. It's not just one man that concerns me, but the dangerous precedent this would set for all would be whistleblowers. Without men like Manning, Nixon would have gotten off the Watergate scandal scott free, Agent Orange would have caused far more damage than it did, and GITMO would still be secret. I implore you, set this man free. Don't chill free speech.
