Pardon the record of Craig Higgins. 23 Year old who struggled with addiction, made a couple mistakes, and changed 100%

Created by C.H. on December 15, 2012

I'm Craig Higgins, when I was 16, I was in a car accident, was prescribed painkillers and became addicted to them. I ultimately ended up in jail at age 18. Released at age 19, I have graduated college with a 3.8, been sober for 4 years, and am studying pre-law and political science at Umass Boston on a scholarship! Change has happened and I am petitioning for a pardon of my record, in the nation that was founded upon opportunity, I believe I deserve an opportunity to join the armed forces, and obtain a government job and not be held back by the irresponsible decisions that I made in the past. Please give me the chance to have a second chance that I know I deserve, I was the class speaker at graduation in college, I work full time to pay my way through everything. I've earned it.
