On 4/12/15 Officers Goodson, Miller, Nero, Porter, Lt. Rice, and Sgt. White arrested Freddie Grey. Grey had a switch blade knife on him which is illegal under Maryland State Law (Title 4-101). In court prosecutor Marilyn Mosby stated that the knife was not illegal under state law and that the arrest was illegal. When clearly Maryland State law states that the possession of a switch blade knife is illegal. Also, the apparent cause of death was injuries to his spinal cord while he was not buckled up in the transport vehicle. Another prisoner inside of the vehicle that Grey was in, Donta Allen, stated that Grey was beating himself against the wall inside the vehicle. Allen also stated that it looked like Grey was trying to hurt himself. This petition calls for these officers to be pardoned.
