An appeals court ruled recently that the NSA's mass collection of US Citizen's phone data is illegal. There is very little justification remaining to claim that Edward Snowden is not a whistleblower. The programs exposed by him have only survived because they have escaped public scrutiny until now. The case against them depended on information kept inappropriately secret until exposed. It's time to admit that Snowden is a whistleblower, and to give him a presidential pardon for any outstanding claims to the contrary. What happened to the principles of freedom and liberty? What happened to the Whistleblower Protection Act?
