Stephen C. Burke Jr. has paid his debt to society for the crime that he was convicted of. Stephen will forever pay for the loss of his closest friend in his mind. In our opinion there is no good to be achieved by committing him to any more time for the crime he has been convicted of.He has paid an enormous price already and any more time would be not only unproductive, but also detrimental to the well being of Stephen.This was a terrible automobile accident and that is all. Stephen has paid his dues. We request that you grant him his release, so that he can start to become a productive person within the community and a surrogate father to the baby of the deceased CJ Melnick. The incarceration of Stephen is something that CJ would have never wanted and CJ's family does not want.
