Please pardon this mother, get her supportive services, and restore her parental rights. She was homeless, jobless, and tried to keep her son in school. She used every penny she had keeping him in childcare after school to protect him and now the babysitter is homeless, the mother is in prison for 12 years and the child is in the system without his mother. How does this serve this family? How does this serve society? We allow bankers, corporations and others to commit heinous crimes against our country and it's environmental treasures, manipulate the economy at will costing millions their hard earned savings. The leaders of those companies sleep in a warm bed with their fat bonuses. But, a single mother claiming free education for her impoverished child is imprisoned? Shame on us.
