Tommy Lee Ward and Karl Fontenot were wrongfully convicted of the murder of 24 year old Denise Haraway in 1984 in Ada, Oklahoma. The 2 men were brutally interrogated and coerced into confessing. The individual confessions of the 2 young men were nowhere near the same and the confession of Tommy Ward was not really a confession at all, it was a dream that he'd had and told police about.
They had said she was stabbed but when her body was found it was discovered that she had been shot, along with dozens of other contradictions. They remain in prison to this day.
