I am an ex- offender whose been in society since 1998, since than I have done all that's required of me to ensure not to return to prison. Nevertheless, there are certain legalalities which prevents me from advancing in certain areas. This is a hinderance for myself and family amongst many others who are trying to lead a productive life. I had requested a pardon when governor McGreevy was in office, however this didn't transpire due to his leaving office. There should be a committee in every states that oversees the progress of individuals like myself and be given another opportunity to excel in any area, if they are mentally and physically able to do so. There has to be a balance in all aspects of governing, that we adopt to not stereotype individuals due to their. No one is perfect.
