Parents and Students for Sensible Gun Control in memory of the "Newtown Twenty"

We the students of American elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and colleges (supported by our parents) do not wish to remain passive in the face of preventable gun violence. Our lives are being sacrificed on the horns of a distorted interpretation of the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. We do not wish to ban the use of hunting weapons or the use of handguns for legitimate self-defense. We seek sensible gun control.
* Reinstate the ban on the sale and possession of assault weapons.
* Tax on the sale or transfer of guns and ammunition
* Require all handguns to be phased out over five years and replaced with "personalized guns"
* Impose universal background check and gun registration for gun buyers, even with private sales, ending the "gun show loophole".
