Bullying is a serious issue that isn't taken care of enough in our school system. I want to get a law passed to turn bullying into a federal charge because bullying, like domestic assault, causes physical and mental pain to the victim. Even after the victim commits suicide, nothing is done to stop the bullies from continuing or doing it to someone else. Bullies need to be stopped and I believe having a serious consequence will make people think twice about bullying, no matter if they are a minor or a legal adult.
