I feel its time to lift this prohibition. Marijuana is used everyday by millions of people world wide, to heal, create friendships, socialize and simply relax. It has been scientifically proven that the natural medical benefits contain no dangerous side effects such as opposed to the typical long list of side effects the pharmaceutical counterparts have. In addition, marijuana has been proven to have a calming effect opposite of alcohol which tends to stimulate erratic and violent behavior. If cigarettes which contains nicotine, an additive, that is an addictive drug then certainly it is time to treat marijuana equivalently by legalizing it.
