Pass an amendment to the PPACA so medical debt for the willfully uninsured may not be discharged via bankruptcy.

Created by R.L. on March 29, 2014

Pass an amendment to the PPACA that would apply the same language applied to student loans -rendering them so they may not be discharged via bankruptcy proceedings- to medical debt incurred as a result of individuals being willfully uninsured. This legislation would not apply to any individual who had made a good-faith effort to acquire health insurance via a public exchange or benefit program, nor those who qualified as exempt from the requirement to purchase health coverage via a PPACA exchange. Willful avoidance of the responsibility for obtaining health care coverage in some form threatens the economic viability of the nation, and individuals who shirk that responsibility should not be able to seek protection from proceedings via public courts.
