Pass an amendment to US Constitution disallowing members of Congress to serve more than two 3 year terms ever.

Created by J.K. on November 15, 2012

Elected officials have grown too powerful due to longstanding, and biased relationships with businesses, lobbyists, and other elected officials. This was not the way congress was intended to be formed and run and can no longer be accepted. Elected officials are to be civil servants, who take a few years away from their job to SERVE the nation, not take advantage of the nation. Members of congress will receive a salary equal to their states Median Income and are to receive no other compensation of any kind. As an elected official members of congress are expected to make decisions on behalf of their constituents, and receiving their states median income and no perks will promote this ideal. We as a people must hold Congress accountable to our needs, not theirs.
