The WPA, during the 1930's and 40's, was successful in creating jobs, building roads and bridges and other endeavors. Our bridges in this county are in desperate need of repair by and large, as I have read many articles that deem the majority either in need of repair or replacement.
The scope of the work could be as limited or as broad as necessary to improve the state of any and all infrastructure, including but not limited to roads, bridges, the electrical grid, and many others.
If passed quickly, this type of legislation would also have a very positive impact on unemployment as our economy continues to slowly rebound. This would work as a direct stimulus to both the economy of the nation, states, cities and towns.
