This petition hopes to show the people's support of the Anna Westin Act of 2015. If this passes, insurance companies will be prohibited from excluding eating disorders and other mental illnesses from treatment coverage. It will also require that treatment includes residential treatment. This will greatly benefit Americans because currently, eating disorders are affecting over 20 million women and 10 million men. Additionally, anorexia nervosa, a type of eating disorder, has the highest mortality rate among all mental illnesses. The Anna Westin Act will be an immense help in encouraging and providing treatment in the United States.
