Pass an Anti-Dynasty/ Monarchy Law

Created by J.L. on January 10, 2013

We would like to see a law that states that no person, elected or appointed, can occupy the position of Mayor of any town or city, the position of Governor of any State, or the position of President of the United States if that position has been previously occupied by the person's father, son, mother, daughter, grandparent, grandchild , brother or sister. This law would be used to prevent certain families from maintaining control over various areas of government for thier own benefit rather than the benefit of the public. The law should also require that anyone currently in such a position upon passage of the law would be able to serve out the duration of thier term, but be inelligible for re-election.
