...to pass a ban on alcohol advertising identical to the limitations on tobacco advertising.

Created by D.T. on April 25, 2013

10,000 people are killed and 350,000 are injured by drunk drivers annually. 25,000 die from alcohol-related diseases. The body count is comparable and the injury count greatly exceeds those caused by guns, without even considering the contributory aspect alcohol consumption has on gun violence, suicides, and accidents; or the secondary damage wrought by alcohol via domestic abuse, bad parenting, lost production at work, etc. We do not seek Prohibition II, We'd just like to see alcohol face the same advertising limitations tobacco faces, including industry-financed Public Service Announcements advertising The Truth.
