Pass the bi-partisan bills H.R. 2800 and S. 1340: Cruise Vessel Passenger Safety Act

Created by E.R. on January 07, 2014

The International Cruise Victims Association wants these bills passed in the House and Senate. The CVPSA is a bipartisan bill put forward in the House by Reps Poe (R-TX) and Matsui (D-CA).
This bill builds on the CruiseVessel Safety and Security Act of 2010, by clarifying and strengthening two major components of current law: Crime reporting and video surveillance requirements. Senator Rockefeller, Chairman of the Commerce Commity is the lead sponsor in the Senate.
For the most part the general public has no idea, or any good way of looking into what is happening on these ships. We want consumers of the cruise industry to be able to make educated decisions on where to go on vacation.
