Pass a bill that would make it IL-legal for the government to take a stand on the church affair of same sex marriage.

the topic of marriage is a church affair, for the various religious entities of this country to decide amongst themselves what it's meaning is. and the government should reflect that. separation of church and state means that the church is not allowed to get tied up in governmental affairs, and the government is not allowed to get involved in church affairs. thus a bill should be passed banning the government from taking a stand either way
