An effective immigration policy is long overdue. The time is now for comprehensive immigration reform. The country needs an effective solution to solve the issue of illegal immigration. We must close down the border to illegal immigration. Penalize and prosecute employers who hire undocumented people. Make E-Verify mandatory nationwide. Provide temporary work visas for those who want to come to work to the U.S. so they can return home withouth hassles. and be able to return to their home countries. Pass the Dream Act for undocumented young immigrants who have been here with no fault of their own, and who are Americans in their hearts except on paper. Address the issue of 11 million undocumented immigrants, and provide them with a pathway to citizenship.
