The budget provides;
• Deficit reduction of $5.6 trillion
• Spending cuts of $1.7 trillion
• Revenue increase of $3.9 trillion
• Public investment $1.7 trillion

House Speaker John Boehner has made it quite clear that he is unwilling or unable to make a meaningful contribution to these negotiations. It is therefore the duty of Congressional Democrats and the Obama administration to pass a responsible solution.
