We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Pass a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College

Created by M.K. on October 25, 2016

The Electoral College has been a major focus in presidential campaigns throughout the history of the United States, yet the concepts of "safe states" and "swing states" make many voters feel like their vote might not matter in a presidential election. For example, a Republican voter in New York may feel incredibly outnumbered by a large population of Democratic voters, while a Democratic voter in Texas may feel outnumbered by Republican voters.
"Swing states" tend to dominate the election cycle as the same 6-10 states are focused on by the candidates and their campaigns every four years. It is unfair that registered voters of the minority party in "safe states" feel like their vote doesn't matter.
All 50 states need an equal voice. The electoral college must be abolished.
