99% of people can not invest in early stage private companies for personal gain. Entrepreneurs have products and services that they wish to build, but need capital. Currently an entrepreneur can only talk to people that they have a relationship with, and/or accredited, and/or sophisticated. So unless you surround yourself by the wealthiest 1% of America it is nearly impossible for most people to fund their dream business.
HR 2930, “Entrepreneur Access to Capital Act,” will allow the other 99% to invest and profit. Businesses will demonstrate capability, uses of funds, and give disclosures. This bill would allow a company to raise up to $2,000,000 and an individual could invest up to 10% of their income or $10,000 whichever is less.
Imagine what the 99% could do for the 99%.
