Congressional Republicans want tax breaks for corporations. Congressional Democrats want large corporations to do their share. Everyone wants hiring to increase. Let's give large and small businesses tax breaks--but ONLY when the money saved is spent creating actual jobs for average Americans.
Pass a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Every dollar spent on a new hire's salary earns a dollar tax credit on that year's taxes. The tax credit only applies for new hires who are US citizens working in the US and earning under $250,000 a year.
