Pass an emergency extension of the Bush tax rates and unemployment benefits if no fiscal cliff agreement is reached.

Negotiations resulting in a plan prevents the U.S. from going over the fiscal cliff have stalled. The House of Representatives has offered plans and the White house has rejected them. The Senate vows not to take up anything coming from the house. American families will be left holding the bag. More than 2 million families will be without long term unemployment benefits on Dec 29 if Congress and the President Fail to Act. Middle class families will see a huge tax increase as the Bush tax rates expire.
