Pass ENDA or similar law to prevent discrimination against sexual orientation and gender identity in hiring and housing.

Created by D.T. on November 12, 2012

The LGBT community is one of the most discriminated against, yet least protected, groups in America today. Our nation is long overdue for a law that allows gay and transgender Americans to live an authentic life without having to worry about being fired or denied housing for who they are.

The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) has been introduced in Congress multiple times, but has thus far failed to pass. On top of that, only recently has it had gender identity included in the bill.

The Obama administration has made a clear stance in support of the LGBT community, and accomplished major things during the last four years in office. This petition is a request to make sure during the next four years in office, this issue will finally be resolved.
