Pass, endorse and support the passing of a Cold War recognition Medal.

Once and for all...endorse and pass legislation that would establish the "Cold War Recognition Medal". This topic has been brought up year after year only to not be included in the final Defense bill. The Veterans that served during the Cold War deserve more than the certificate that was authorized during the Clinton Administration.
I feel very strongly about this, especially in lieu of the recent events in the Ukraine and the apparent land grab by the old Communist regime. If we would have had a division or two stationed in Germany (as we did during the cold war) or Poland or went ahead with the missle defense program, Putin and his Chronies would think twice.The cold war vets kept them in check and the balance of power. They were the deterrent and they deserve this recognition.
