Please work to, finally, pass the Equal Rights Amendment.
So many are shocked when they learn that equality between men and women is still not enshrined in the Constitution. There has been progress, some may say it's not necessary, but laws can be overturned by Congress and judicial precedents can be overturned by the Supreme Court. It is time to write equality for men and women into stone.
The amendment already passed 35 states since 1972, and has been supported by both Republicans and Democrats over the decades. It should be noncontroversial, and it is still very necessary.
Let's finally make this long-held dream into a reality!
