Our country needs to return to government "Of, By, and For The People." There is a bipartisan bill called the Fair Elections Now Act which would do exactly that. We need President Obama to get behind the bill and the movement to restore elections to the people. The act would allow campaigns to receive matching public funds, amplifying the impact of citizen donors. This would encourage politicians to develop a connection with their constituents as opposed to corporate lobbyists. The net result is more "people power," less suppression of our rights as voters, and a system that works for all Americans regardless of party affiliation.
