Government using fear to intimidate citizens as they claim ownership of private income and property is immoral, unethical, and illegal. There is a better method of taxation that has already had it's superiority proven by numerous other nations who have already adopted it.
Naturally this forces the government to cough up and let go of a lot of power they have enjoyed having for over two hundred years. The PTBs are understandably afraid of this. So it is up to the citizens to vote and show the PTBs are without a choice.
