Animal abuse is a serious crime, and should be treated as such. Serving community service or a few days in jail is not enough punishment for the abuse these poor innocent animals endure. Please, let's pass much stricter laws regarding the abuse of helpless animals. We need mandatory incarceration to be the punishment for these heinous crimes!!! We cannot let these crimes go unpunished, because if we do we are just encouraging more abuse and horror! Plus, people who abuse animals many times go on to hurt people as well. We need to stop them before they start!!!
