Review crime stats of states that have this open carry in place. They are much lower than other states. If you are walking in a parking lot with your family, a criminal is more likely not to attempt to rob you if you are carrying a exposed firearm. I am a NRA instructor and a combat veteran. I cant carry open but concealed with a permit. If I want to carry open it should be my right as a U.S. citizen and yours as well.
