In response to the backwards, un-American and otherwise offensive discrimination 'law' against same-sex couples suggested by Kansas's governor and legislature, I propose we introduce a bill that levies Civil Rights Sanctions against the citizens of Kansas. In doing so it would be strictly LEGAL to refuse service, deny college admissions, federal services and otherwise openly discriminate against anyone born in, or residing in the State of Kansas.
The sort of Social Terrorism that Kansas has brought to bear in their state is an affront to the Fourteenth Amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The behavior needs to be chilled by a swift national response, leveraging the tit-for-tat approach that would appeal to religiously motivated pundits of the suggested laws.
