Pass a federal mandate to require health insurance companies to include feminine hygiene products in their plans

There is still much work to be done towards equality for women.
Women still earn less salary than men. In addition to this, women can spend between $200-300 a year on the hygiene products they require. Men have no such additional expenditure, which makes this an unequal expense.
This petition proposes, as hygiene products serve a medical purpose, that they be included in women's health insurance plans; as such costs can add up for the individual, yet are a relatively minor cost to health insurance companies.
