We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Pass the Hearing protection Act

Created by L.H. on December 28, 2016

Passing the Hearing protection Act would remove firearm noise suppressors (silencers) from regulation under the National Firearms Act (NFA). This would do away with the $200.00 tax stamp required to purchase them , remove them from NFA regulation, and make them available to the public as any other regulated firearm requiring a form 4473 and NICS check.
This would lead to increased production and sales, benefiting manufacturers and retailers.
It is a proven fact noise reduction reduces hearing damage. This would be of great benefit to firearm owners country wide. It would also reduce noise associated with hunting and firearms training, making for better relations between firearm owners and their neighbors. Those living close to training facilities would benefit from the reduced noise.
