Pass the High-skilled provisions listed in Border Security, Economic Opportunity &Immigration modernization Act (S.744)

Created by A.G. on July 01, 2014

The CIR bill was passed by the US senate. We are all waiting for the house, but it seems that because of other aspects of the bill (related to Illegal immigration), this bill is stalled in the House.

The House has accepted most of the "Legal" provisions listed in the proposed bill. House mostly differs in the "illegal/amnesty" immigration point of view.

I would like to suggest, to at least pass the portions of the bill that both the House and the Senate agree upon - i.e. the "high skilled" legal immigration part.

We can keep debating the open issues, but combining the legal and illegal immigration in one bill (CIR) is harming the US economy, technical innovation and job growth and cannot be delayed further.
