Currently H.R. 3694 (103rd): Child Abuse Accountability Act - as it is written only accounts or civil and federal service retirements. This doesn't include US Military Retirement. H.R. 1444 (108th): Child Abuse Accountability Enhancement Act - was presented to the US Armed Services committee in 2003 and was never passed. This is a travesty. Children who are sexually, physically, emotionally abused by a military soldier (female or male) and the service person retires before the judgement occurs related to the child sexual abuse - are protected from having to have their retirements garnished for any civil judgements related to child abuse of any kind. US Military shouldn't be protected for paying, they should be held accountable!
