Pass immediate and unequivocal legislation protecting people's personal names and personal information from internet use

Created by L.C. on December 17, 2012

We the people of the United States of America and all territories and commonwealths within the USA petition the White House to immediately use legislation to catch up to technology and ban the re-sale and usage of our names, defamation of our names and use of personal information we do not disseminate ourselves from being placed on and re-sold or shown on the internet. Every person has a right to privacy and while public records exist it is not the place of any private companies to compile true and false data on people and re-sell this at profit. If this is done they should be held liable for paying people for use of our names upon request and damages. Public Record was never meant to be re-packaged and sold online. Likewise our names and photos are not meant to be used maliciously.
