We need to pass a large (1 trillion over 10 yrs) infrastructure construction bill to fix our crumbling infrastructure, spur the economy, and create jobs.
Construction is the second largest contributor to our GDP (next to healthcare). This would create thousands, if not millions, of jobs around the country. This would put more money in the pockets of consumers to buy the products they want and need. All of the materials and equipment going into construction would spur several other facets of the economy. There would be more tax revenue coming in. The list goes on and on. The effects can't be summed up in 800 characters.
All of our roads and bridges are failing and need to be fixed regardless. Its not if, but when!
