Petition to change federal & state laws allowing voters to recall US Senators & Representatives elected to represent them.
Allow recall to begin 6 months after official has been in office.
If more than 20% of those that voted in the previous election for US Senator or Representative sign recall petitions, the governor must schedule a recall election within 90 days after confirmation of the signatures on the petitions.
The recall must be due to ineffectiveness in office or refusal to follow the wishes and beliefs of those that elected them to office.
Also, should 50% of the voters in the previous election sign recall petitions, the leader being recalled may not run in the recall election.
We believe that allowing recalls of those elected will reduce gridlock and improve effectiveness.
