This proposal would eliminate all existing gun control laws. The purpose here is to entertain the theory that the reason there are major gun crimes is that people know that there are no threats because no one is armed. Let's try the wild west out again.
There are so many guns in America already, a few million more will not be a big deal before crime soars through the roof and the automatic clause is enacted and all guns are banned permanently. Gun owners can turn their guns in to a licensed facility for safekeeping and retain ownership. They can obtain their guns for target shooting or hunting with various conditions.
