We petition the Obama Administration to propose and lobby for passage in Congress a law which:
- Imposes a $10,000 Federal Excise Tax on each firearm purchase starting July 1, 2013, and
- Requires an annual Federal re-registration requirement for all firearms currently in possession, with a failure to re-register penalty of $50,000 per firearm, and
- Initiates a Federal Income Tax deduction of $10,000 for each legally registered firearm voluntarily surrendered to the Federal government within a one year window, and
- Initiates a one year amnesty window for turning in currently illegally owned or un-registered firearms to the Federal government, and
- Imposes a new sentencing minimum of 25 years in prison and fine of $1,000,000 for illegal possession of a firearm after the amnesty window
