Pass a law that makes it unconstitutional for the Government of the United States to spend more money than they bring in

Created by R.P. on January 31, 2013

A household that spends more money than it brings in will eventually lose everything they hold dear ... if it doesn't split first. The Government is no different.

This is a very simple philosophy and millions of US households abide by it day in and day out. And, yet, the US Government is somehow exempt from such common sense.

It's simple - we know how much money, approximately, the US Government will bring in from taxes and other sources of income. Pass a law to make it unconstitutional to spend any money beyond that limit. Set up a priority list starting with Education, the Military and other necessities (making sure to fit Political spending such as travel, galas and other events in there somewhere down the chain) and the items at the bottom that don't make the cut don't get funds
