The ACC has a proud tradition of excellence in college basketball. This tradition however has been shattered over the past three seasons with the hiring of Jeff Bzdelik as head coach at Wake Forest University.
His hiring is the primary factor for the country approaching the fiscal cliff.
Wake Forest researchers are working on cures for cancer and safer helmets for football players. Much of this funding is paid for by dollars generated by the athletic department. With ticket and merchandise sales at an all-time low, funding for these important studies is fastly drying up.
While Jeff Bzdelik remains coach at Wake Forest, cancer won't be cured and football players will continue to get career ending head injuries.
